Emergency fuel delivery when you run out on the road.
Fuel stops north of Redding are few and far apart. The mountain grades burn more fuel than flat-road estimates. Traffic delays burn fuel sitting still. If you miscalculated your range or sat through a chain control delay with the engine running, you are out of fuel in one of the most remote stretches of I-5 in California.
Fleet Nation delivers diesel, gasoline, and DEF to your location on the I-5 Siskiyou corridor.
Mountain grades burn significantly more fuel than flat driving. A truck that gets 6 mpg on the valley floor might burn twice that climbing to the Siskiyou Summit. Drivers who fueled up based on flat-road calculations come up short.
Winter delays compound the problem. Chain control waits mean hours of idling. That fuel was earmarked for getting to the next stop, not for keeping the heater running in a snow delay.
DEF consumption spikes on the grades too. Higher engine load means higher DEF burn. Running out triggers a derate. At 5 mph derated on the Siskiyou Pass in winter, you are a hazard.
Diesel fuel. Enough to get you to the next fuel stop or a larger quantity if needed.
DEF fluid. Avoid the derate or clear one already in progress.
Gasoline. For fleet vehicles, support trucks, and light-duty equipment.
Fuel gelling is a real problem on the Siskiyou corridor in winter. Standard number 2 diesel gels in extreme cold. If your fuel gelled, delivery of treated fuel and filter replacement gets you moving. We also add anti-gel treatment to prevent it from happening again.
