About Fleet Nation

The call you make first when a truck goes down on the corridor.

Heavy-duty diesel mechanic and recovery built around what actually keeps fleets moving on I-5 and the West Coast freight corridors. Yuba City flagship. Weed service hub. 24/7 dispatch. Live human, real quote before the truck rolls.

97.8%

Roadside repair rate

Fixed in the field. Not towed to a shop that's closed Monday.

Every call

Master mechanic

After-hours included. No "junior tech tonight, master tech Monday."

Every hub

Parts store on-site

Stocked for what actually breaks on the corridor, not what we'd order tomorrow.

Why Fleet Nation exists

Built to refuse the three things that go wrong with roadside calls.

Pamela and Ambar started Fleet Nation because the existing options in heavy-duty diesel roadside fail in three specific ways. Every operating rule below was written to make sure we don't.

1

Default to tow.

The shop's revenue is on the wrecker line, so the call ends with the truck on a deck. It gets dropped at a yard 60 miles away that's closed until Monday morning. Two days of downtime that should have been two hours roadside.

2

Parts not on the truck.

The tech rolls out without the part the job actually needed. "We'll order it; come back tomorrow." Two trips billed, two days lost, one truck still down. The miss isn't the tech. It's the stocking decision back at the shop.

3

Over-repairs and wrong diagnoses.

Junior tech swaps the wrong part. The truck rolls; the original problem doesn't. Sometimes it's training. Sometimes it's a shop that bills more when the first fix doesn't take. Either way, you pay twice.

Fleet Nation refuses each of those three things. The operating rules below are how.

How we operate

Six rules that prevent the three failures.

The things a Fleet Nation dispatcher and tech do differently from a typical roadside shop. Written down because they're the rules, not suggestions.

Quote on the phone before the truck rolls.

Hourly rate, after-hours adder, parts range: said out loud, on the call, before dispatch. No "we'll figure it out when we get there."

Master mechanic on every call, after-hours included.

The senior diesel mechanic is the one taking the call at 2 AM, not the one you escalate to on Monday. Diagnoses are right the first time because the right person is on the line.

Dealer-level diagnostics in every service truck.

Current-gen scan tools for Cummins ISX/X15, Detroit DD15/DD13, PACCAR MX, and International A26. Live ECM data on scene. Not "we'll bring the tool tomorrow."

Parts in stock: service truck plus hub warehouse.

Starters, alternators, air dryers, slack adjusters, water pumps, common injectors, fuel pumps, brake parts. On the truck before it leaves the yard.

Fix in the field. Eat the tow margin to keep the repair.

The wrecker line is a fallback, not the goal. 97.8% of roadside calls finish on scene. When a tow is the right call, we tell you that on the call too.

Live human on dispatch in 15–20 seconds.

Not "after the beep." Not a callback queue. A dispatcher answers, a master mechanic gets on, the truck rolls. Average answer time across nights and weekends: 15 to 20 seconds.

Leadership

Pamela and Ambar run Fleet Nation.

What that gets you on the call: a live human in 15 to 20 seconds, a real quote before the truck rolls, a master mechanic on the line. Every hour, every corridor we run.

Pamela Singh of Fleet Nation

Pamela Singh

Operations, Fleet Nation

Pamela runs operations. The dispatch line that answers in 15 to 20 seconds, the service vehicles that roll out stocked, the hubs and service areas that stay staffed at 2 AM on a Saturday. The standard that a 2 AM call gets the same answer as a 2 PM one is Pamela's, and she's the one whose desk it lands on when something operational breaks.

At 2 AM with a driver stuck on I-5, you have two minutes to decide who to call. What changes when you call us: a real human on the phone, a real quote before the truck rolls, a service vehicle stocked for the job. Not "we'll figure it out when we get there."

Fleet accounts and expansion, Fleet Nation

Ambar runs fleet accounts and network expansion. Onboarding new fleets, walking yards, setting Net-30 terms, and scoping where the next hub or service area goes. Every fleet that's signed onto a Fleet Nation account has met Ambar.

When you bring a fleet onto Fleet Nation, what changes is who's accountable on the relationship: there's a name on it, not a customer-service ticket. Ambar will come look at your equipment mix, write coverage inside a week, and run the account from there.

What backs the work

The facility, the parts, the tools.

Operating rules need the capability to back them. Here's what does.

Diagnostic suite

Parts inventory

Private warehouse stocked for the top 80% of roadside diesel jobs: brake parts, air system components, starters and alternators, common injectors, CP4 fuel pumps, water pumps, slack adjusters, sensors. Heavy- and medium-duty tires on hand.

Service vehicles

Each service truck rolls with the diagnostic suite plus the high-frequency parts. The hub warehouse handles the longer tail. Most jobs close on the first visit.
