Castaic, Santa Clarita, Valencia, Newhall, and northern Los Angeles County. 24/7 dispatch.
24/7 emergency roadside assistance including jump starts, tire changes, and fuel delivery.
Your truck died on the grade. It is 104 degrees, the shoulder is two feet wide, and traffic is blowing past at 70. You need someone now, not in three hours.
Fleet Nation dispatches from the I-5 corridor between Castaic and Lebec. Not from LA. Not from Bakersfield. From right here on the Grapevine.
Jump starts. Dead batteries are the most common call we get during Grapevine closures. Trucks sit idling for hours in winter storms, then will not restart. Our trucks carry commercial-grade jump packs built for diesel engines.
Tire changes. The sustained grade eats tires. Heat buildup on the climb northbound, heavy braking southbound. Blowouts happen daily on this stretch. We carry the tools for commercial sizes and can get a spare mounted on the shoulder.
Fuel delivery. Diesel and DEF delivery when you miscalculate fuel between Castaic and the valley. No fuel stations on the grade means running dry is more common than people admit.
Lockouts. Cab and trailer lockouts at the Castaic truck stops, the Flying J, or the weigh station. We get you back inside without damaging anything.
Most outfits on this corridor are tow-only. Their answer to every problem is a 50-mile tow south to LA or north to Bakersfield. That is half a day gone, plus a massive tow bill, plus the shop bill, plus the wait for parts.
We pull up and fix it. If the problem can be solved roadside, it gets solved roadside. We carry diagnostic equipment, common replacement parts, fluids, and belts. We only recommend a tow when there is genuinely no other option.
Northbound: the long uphill climb pushes engine temps to the limit. Cooling systems fail. Turbo hoses pop. Belts snap from the sustained load.
Southbound: continuous braking for miles. Brake fade is real on this grade. Drums overheat, shoes glaze, air systems lose pressure.
Winter: CalTrans closures mean hours of idling in freezing conditions. When the road reopens, batteries are dead, fuel has gelled, and air lines are frozen.
We cover the full I-5 Grapevine corridor: Castaic, Val Verde, the Castaic weigh station, Lake Hughes Road, Templin Highway, Pyramid Lake, Hungry Valley, Gorman, Lebec, and Tejon Pass. Also SR-126 toward Fillmore and the I-5/SR-14 interchange.
Call Fleet Nation. Tell us where you are on the grade and what happened. We will give you a real ETA and get a truck headed your way.
